Epoxy Flooring
Installation Process
Moisture Testing
Before grinding begins, Anthony checks the slab for moisture and subsurface conditions that could affect how well the system bonds. This step allows the team to recommend the right system and ensure it performs correctly from day one through years of daily use.
Mechanical Grinding
The team grinds the entire surface to open the concrete and create the mechanical profile required for a strong, lasting bond. This step removes old coatings, adhesives, and residue that would otherwise prevent the system from adhering correctly.
Base Coat Application
With the slab prepped and ready, the base coat is spread evenly to ensure full, consistent coverage across the complete surface. This layer sets the system up to deliver its full range of design options and protection through the top coat.
Topcoat and Seal
The top coat seals the floor and delivers the finish, durability, and appearance the client selected, making the surface easy to clean and resistant to chips, stains, and everyday wear. This final layer is what clients interact with daily, and Antpoxy brings the same standard of care here as at every earlier step.

ABOUT US
Meet antpoxy coatings, annapolis's owner-led floor coating experts
Trusted experts for durable epoxy floors
Antpoxy Coatings is a locally operated, owner-run company homeowners across Annapolis MD rely on for garage floors, basements, patios, porches, and sheds. Anthony Calderon founded the company on a straightforward belief: thorough preparation is what determines whether an epoxy floor performs for fifteen years or fails in two.
Calderon's craftsmanship delivers durable epoxy floors
Anthony's foundation in the trade goes back to working alongside his father in concrete, where he developed a hands-on understanding of substrates, slab behavior, and how surface conditions affect the long-term durability of any epoxy floor coating. That background is what sets Antpoxy apart from contractors who follow a script. Anthony reads each concrete floor differently and prepares it accordingly, using professional grade tools and premium materials, never applying a coating to a surface that has not been properly ground, tested, and corrected.
Owner-supervised projects ensure quality and service.
Every project is owner-supervised from consultation to completion. Anthony is personally on every job, overseeing each stage of the process with the same dedicated standard of care regardless of the size of the space. Homeowners deal directly with the person doing the work, not a franchise coordinator or a salesperson who will not be on-site.
