ABOUT US
How Antpoxy Coatings Installs Every Floor in Bethesda MD
Most coating failures start at the surface preparation stage, not at the coating itself. Anthony Calderon built Antpoxy Coatings on a foundation of concrete knowledge developed working alongside his father, and that background shapes how seriously we treat every step before the coating goes down. Every floor coating installation Antpoxy completes follows the same disciplined sequence because skipping or rushing any part of it puts the finished result at risk.
Why Our Process Produces
Floors That Last
Concrete Knowledge Drives Better Preparation
Anthony's background in the concrete trade gives him a deeper understanding of how surfaces behave than most epoxy installers carry into a job. That knowledge directly influences how we assess and prepare each floor before anything else happens.
We Never Treat Prep as a Formality
Full surface grinding and crack repair are not optional steps we complete when time allows. They are the foundation of every project we take on, and no coating goes down until the surface is clean, open, and structurally ready to bond.
The Owner Is Present From Start to Finish
Anthony personally oversees every installation Antpoxy completes, which means the standard of care on your project never depends on who shows up that day. What you discuss during consultation is what gets executed on the floor.
No Shortcuts at Any Stage
We do not rush through preparation to reach the coating faster, and we do not move forward if the surface is not right. Doing the job correctly the first time is what the 15-year limited lifetime warranty against peeling and delamination is built on.
Our Installation Process
Full Surface Grinding
We grind the entire floor using professional equipment to open the concrete profile and remove any contaminants, old coatings, or weak surface material. This step creates the mechanical bond that holds the system in place for years.
Crack Repair and Surface Correction
All cracks and surface defects are repaired before any coating is applied. We address the condition of the concrete itself, not just the appearance of the finished floor.
Base Coat Application
Once the surface passes inspection, the base coat is applied to establish adhesion across the entire floor. This layer is what every subsequent coat depends on for long-term performance.
Topcoat and Final Seal
The topcoat and sealant complete the system and deliver the durability and finish the project requires. We do not move to this stage until every prior step is done correctly.
WHAT IS OUR STANDARD
The Antpoxy Standard on Every Project
Antpoxy Coatings was built on the belief that a floor coating installation is only as good as the preparation behind it. Anthony brings personal accountability and genuine concrete expertise to every job, and that combination is what separates our results from what most homeowners get elsewhere. Contact Antpoxy Coatings today to schedule your project across Bethesda, Columbia, Ellicott City, Annapolis, and surrounding Maryland areas.

ABOUT US
Meet antpoxy coatings, bethesda's
owner-led floor coating experts
Trusted experts for durable epoxy floors
Antpoxy Coatings is a locally operated, owner-run company homeowners across Bethesda MD rely on for garage floors, basements, patios, porches, and sheds. Anthony Calderon founded the company on a straightforward belief: thorough preparation is what determines whether an epoxy floor performs for fifteen years or fails in two.
Calderon's craftsmanship delivers durable epoxy floors
Anthony's foundation in the trade goes back to working alongside his father in concrete, where he developed a hands-on understanding of substrates, slab behavior, and how surface conditions affect the long-term durability of any epoxy floor coating. That background is what sets Antpoxy apart from contractors who follow a script. Anthony reads each concrete floor differently and prepares it accordingly, using professional grade tools and premium materials, never applying a coating to a surface that has not been properly ground, tested, and corrected.
Owner-supervised projects ensure quality and service.
Every project is owner-supervised from consultation to completion. Anthony is personally on every job, overseeing each stage of the process with the same dedicated standard of care regardless of the size of the space. Homeowners deal directly with the person doing the work, not a franchise coordinator or a salesperson who will not be on-site.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Most residential projects are completed within one to two days depending on floor size and surface condition. We give you a clear timeline before the project begins so there are no surprises.
Grinding opens the concrete profile so the coating can form a real mechanical bond rather than sitting on top of a sealed or contaminated surface. Without it, even quality materials will peel or delaminate over time.
Yes, Anthony is present on every project from the first conversation through the final coat. Owner-led accountability on every installation is one of the core commitments Antpoxy is built on.
Crack repair is a standard part of every project, not an add-on. We address all surface defects before any coating goes down to make sure the system bonds to a clean, stable floor.
The warranty covers peeling and delamination for 15 years from the date of installation. It reflects our confidence in both the preparation standard and the materials we use on every project.
